This year we went to Devils lake near the Wisconsin dells. It started raining 5 minutes after we arrived and didn't stop until Saturday night. Perfect camping weather, right? We made the most of it by going to a casino (which actually turned out to be awesome - Bingo and line dancing, thank you!), a movie at the dells and a trip an art fair complete with a clown display (apparently it's a circus town) and an antique store... random yet fun.
Sounds like a blast and totally my kind of camping :) Especially the gambling part ... so how much did you win on Bingo?
ReplyDeleteSorry about the rain Katie, but good you guys made the best of it. To piggyback on the circus thing, you must have been near the town of Baraboo where they have the Circus World Museum. I am not sure if they still do this, but every Summer they would have this parade in Milwaukee called the Circus Parade. They bring all these animals down from the Circus World Museum in Baraboo on a train and they parade through downtown Milwaukee.
