Thanksgiving - This year :)

We spent our Thanksgiving with friends this year and had a great time and lots of food including our first Tur-duck-in (Turkey with duck and chicken) I didn't exactly partake but Tyler thought it was delicious!

Tyler made apple crisp and apple pie for the first time and both turned out quite well
(can you tell we ate a lot?)

It was the warmest Thanksgiving in Minneapolis that I've seen over the past 7 years so that was quite nice especially for the day after when we went to the Holidazzle (I've NEVER seen so many people at the parade!)

We went to see the snow globes and gingerbread house at peavey plaza afterward but there were way too many people so it was a short visit!

and went to our first Opera at Orchestra Hall with Liz & Don which was really fun :)

and ended the weekend with our Christmas decorations

Even though we didn't see either of our families we enjoyed the weekend and thanks to everyone having an iphone now we spent lots of time doing face-time which we loved :) Home in a few weeks, if only this weather can last....

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends & family

  1. The city looks very festive with all the lights and the parade. Glad you could spend some time with your friends and get into the holiday spirit with all your activities honey! We had a very nice holiday and enjoyed time with your brothers, Lauren and Aunt Mary. We missed you.

It was nice to see you via face time on the phones. It takes some getting used to, but it is nice to see all of you, even if not in person.

Enjoy your week. Love you and looking forward to 7/21/12

  2. Nice pictures Katie, looks like a very fun Thanksgiving week-end. We always loved the Hollidazzle. We are hoping to partake in some holiday festivites in SD. They have quite a bit. They even have a boat parade with lit up boats & the Navy Base is opening for people to see big Navy boats lit up. Michael is coming down from SFO for a few days this week.

Cute pic of George by your tree. We have our little trees up & are thinking about buying one of those cute ones that attaches to your computer USB port.

Enjoy the rest of your holidays.
