George sends his love too... he didn't get to snow shoe but he did get to go on a very long walk yesterday with Tyler and I to the frozen rose garden and back! I forgot my camera on that one but its been really nice this weekend to get out of the house.
The agenda for the rest of our Sunday afternoon is to cheer on the Boilers and attend a pork roast at a friends house (a weekend of firsts as we've never been to a pork roast either!)

The snow shoeing was alot of fun, felt great in the sun. And thanks for the tiramusu at Grand Ole Creamery (it's nice to have a treat after our workout snow shoeing).
ReplyDeleteI am surprised that Katie went snow shoeing anyplace and shocked that she went to a pork roast AS "SHE DOESN'T LIKE HAM". Your mom will be so glad that you found some "outdoor" activities in Minnesota. Maybe you can take her snow shoeing when she comes up for her mothers day weekend. Spring is in the air as it is forecast to finally get above freezing here this week. Thanks for the pics.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you took my advice and are getting outside to "experience" the winter a bit more. Cant stay cooped up inside all winter. What a nice sunny day you had for trying this. I have always wanted to try it. Hopefully we cant do it on Mothers Day weekened however--why that is when the fishing season opens in Minnesota. Not a fan of pork roast, but the side dishes are usually yummy. I think your new boots, jacket, hat, gloves, scarf have finally got you geared up to keep warm and enjoy the outside. Love you both.

I just read moms post about always wanting to try snow shoeing. She has never said anything about wanting to try it. This is a woman who does not get the newspaper or mail if there is snow on the ground.
