Holidays 2009

We had a great holiday season this year. Tyler and I made a couple trips to Indiana which was fun (and eventful!) For Thanksgiving we spent 5 days in Indianapolis at Andrew's house (my brother). The whole family came down for the weekend, including Lauren's (Andrew's girlfirned) family. It was a LOT of basketball games (what else do you do in Indiana, right?) including the Purdue basketball game. It was great to be back at Purdue for a bit, even if it was just to go to a basketball game. Go Boilers!!!

George stayed with his Uncles Brett & Dan over Thanksgiving and they took great care of him. For Christmas he got to come home to Indiana. He did great in the car and the whole week at home. He got a little snippy with Andrew on the last day but he was just tired!! :) He's sorry Andrew! Lauren got him reindeer antlers and a new outfit for Christmas which he is very excited about. He also got a lot of new treats and toys. Good times for George.

Tyler got a new PURDUE golf bag which is he lovessss, new clothes to keep him warm in the freezing MN winter from his lovely wife, and other fun presents. I got gorgeous jewelry from Tyler, perfume and matching North Face winter gear from my secret santa (Mom!) Good job, Mom. Thanks again!

We spent about 5 days at home, I got to see a few of my friends which was great. All in all it was a nice relaxing week at home and I was happy to see everyone (George was too!) After our 9 hour drive home to Minneapolis, we arrived home to a block of ICE at the end of our drive way about waist high. We spent the next 2 hours chipping at it with shovels to scoop it away just to get the car up the drive way. It wasn't exactly how we wanted to spend the rest of the day in the freezing temps but we made it!

For New Years Eve, we got dressed up and went downtown Minneapolis with friends! It was a lot of fun, great way to ring in the new year 2010. The rest of the weekend was below 10 degrees so we spent most of it indoors watching movies...nice and relaxing. This is the only decent picture of the two of us on NYE (sorry, Ty isn't really into pictures!)Hope you all had a great new years! Cheers to a happy and healthy 2010! Love you all!
